Joint Schools' Courses organised by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Physical Sciences and School of Technology
There are two components for the following categories of students:
- MPhil courses of researchtraining. These are courses that are common to several Social Science MPhildegrees which are taught through the Joint Schools initiative. These coursesare formally examined and are intended to lay the grounding of researchtraining for students intending to go on to a PhD. These courses can beattended by PhD students provided there is space available.
- Sessions for students who areundertaking a PhD. These sessions are not examined, they can be taken in anyorder, and a certificate of attendance can be issued.
The Joint Schools' courses have their own administrator from whomfurther information can be obtained, and who will assist with bookingproblems. Before contacting theadministrator, however, please read this website thoroughly first, as it seeks to answer all the commonly askedquestions.
